Graduating from The New England School of Photography in ‘93, SEAN MURPHY relocated to San Francisco following a brief stint in Hawaii. A major turning point for Murphy was his introduction to Surface Magazine and the Phoenix Hotel.
Known as a familiar pit stop for well known touring bands, Sean became immersed in the music scene there. Photography by day and waiting tables at night provided Sean with the valuable skills and experiences that can’t be taught in school.
A life-changing shoot with Tears For Fears in ‘96 at the Chateau Marmont, was the confirmation Murphy needed to make Hollywood his home. His passion, talent and professionalism have expanded his client portfolio of well known musicians, actors and celebrities since the 90’s.
Now residing in his home state of Florida, Sean continues to travel the world, capturing those around him from behind the camera.
